Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
ProNet Monitor ("we", "the app") helps you monitor your network, devices, and connection. This policy explains what we collect, why, how it's stored, and how you can delete it. We do not sell your data.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address (or Apple ID via Sign in with Apple), and an optional mobile number.
- Any security/recovery credentials you set — stored only as irreversible hashes; we never see them.
- Subscription status (managed via Apple / RevenueCat).
Device information
- Device name, model, and OS version of the devices you register.
- A push-notification token (so we can send you security alerts).
Monitoring data (only what you enable)
- Network scans — devices found on your local network (IP, name, vendor).
- WiFi events — connect/disconnect and network names you join.
- Nearby WiFi (macOS) and Bluetooth devices (iOS) seen during scans.
- Location — GPS coordinates, logged periodically and in the background, only if you enable location tracking and grant permission.
- Connection reports — network-quality samples and your public IP / ISP / approximate city.
2. How we use it
- To provide the monitoring, reporting, and security features you turn on.
- To sync your data across the devices signed in to your account.
- To send you security alerts (e.g. when someone tries to open your secured reports) and essential account email.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
3. Where it's stored & security
Your data is stored on our private server (hosted in the EU) and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS. Passwords and security answers are stored as one-way hashes. Optionally, the app can also sync some device labels via your private Apple iCloud.
4. Third-party services
We use a small number of providers strictly to operate the app:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, in-app purchases.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- SendGrid — sending account & security emails.
- IP lookup service — to resolve your public IP's ISP/region for the Public-IP report.
5. Data retention
- We keep your data while your account is active.
- Monitoring history is retained for a limited period and older records are removed automatically.
- If your subscription ends, your data is kept for a short grace period so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off; after that, inactive-account data is removed.
6. Your choices & deleting your data
- Delete your data any time — Settings → Account → "Delete my data." For your protection this is time-delayed (we email you and wait before it completes, and you can cancel), then your monitoring data is erased and your security setup reset.
- You can turn any monitoring feature (location, scans, reports) on or off in Settings.
- If you lose access to your security/recovery credentials, the reset/delete flow above is the recovery path.
7. Your rights
Depending on your region (including GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us and we'll help.
8. Children
ProNet Monitor is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above.
